TBT – The jeepfan.com 1978 CJ in 1997

Here is the jeepfan.com 1978 CJ as it appeared when we first bought it in 1997.  Fresh, restored, and stock. This Jeep has seen so many changes in the 17+ years we’ve had it.  It’s currently retired from off-road use and is enjoying the life of garage kept luxury and pampering. jeepfan.com 1978 CJ-5

Rare Jeep – 1976 CJ-5 Super Jeep

WAY back in the 70’s Jeep was looking at a special Jeep for 1976 to celebrate America’s bicentennial.  The early 70’s CJ’s featured a Super Jeep model that came in a red, white, and blue version, this seemed a natural fit for the 76 year.  Unfortunately the expense to build this Jeep was too much …

Gary’s 1974 Jeep Renegade

It’s no secret we have a soft spot for CJ’s..especially Mike and his obsession with the 74 CJ-5 Renegade.  While at the 2014 Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival we spotted this Jeep and Mike was out of service for at lease a half hour and almost needed to be forcibly removed from the Jeep.  Anyway, this …

Random Pic – 3 Rauch Jeeps

What you have here is 3 Rauch owned Jeeps.  A CJ-2A, Jeep Truck, and a 77 CJ-7.  Mostly old school but some definitely feature some modern equipment.  All are far from original. The Willy’s CJ has a Chevy V8, automatic, and Old Man Emu Wrangler YJ springs.  The truck is running a Ford V8 and …

Bill Bonham’s 1973 Jeep CJ-5

Bill Bonham’s 1973 Jeep CJ-5 is a beautiful restoration.  The Jeep is in near original condition with only a few minor alterations.  Since we have a soft spot for clean old CJ’s we had to take some time to give this Jeep some proper attention.

Mike’s Jeeps

Mike is the founder of jeepfan.com. A lifelong “Jeepfan” playing around, modifying, building, and everything else with Jeeps for decades. Now on Jeep number 9 (some CJ’s, JK and YJ Wranglers, Cherokee, and Liberty and about 5 CJ’s for parts) the saga continues.

Mike’s 77 CJ-7

Mike’s 1977 CJ-7. The equipment list is rather extensive on this Jeep. A perfect combination of good looks and serious trail-worthy make this Jeep incredible.

jeepfan.com 1978 CJ-5

This 1978 CJ-5 has been in our stable since 1997 and as soon as we had our hands on it all kinds of ideas filled our heads. The Jeep was essentially a restored stock Jeep with an AMC V8 and a fiberglass body.  It’s hard to find a more perfect Jeep to start a project. …

Bryan’s 1980 CJ-7 – Revisted

This pristine CJ-7 is kind of a “one-off” CJ in that it has some factory equipment on it that isn’t normally found on a CJ. A perfect example of Jeep’s way of using up what they have.  In the years since we first posted info on this Jeep a lot has changed.

Mike Gray’s 1974 CJ-5 Renegade

One evening in late spring I took my family for a ride in the jeepfan.com 78 CJ-5 which was recently re-assembled from a new Holley Truck Avenger carburetor and some exhaust work. Upon returning home there were 3 CJ’s parked in front of my house, Rich, Mark, and Mike. They were out for some pre-summer …
