In this section all the upgrades and additions to our newest Jeep will be outlined. Each addition and upgrade will be fully documented along the way.
Our plans for this Jeep are different from the 2018 JL, this Jeep will be built for comfortable and efficient road use and occasional trail use. No big lift, no 37’s, just 35″ all terrains and possibly a modest spacer lift. Not everyone wants to tackle to tough trails and with the Rubicon lockers a good set of all terrain tires will go nearly as far.
How does a 4xe work? We try to simply explain it.
Tires – 35″ BFGoodrich All Terrain KO2 315/70R17 – load range C. If you haven’t noticed some Wrangler models are available with the Extreme Recon package, also known as the XR. These come with factory installed 35″ BFG tires – these tires to be exact. Being available in load range C means the tire will ride nicer due to the appropriate load range for a Jeep.
Wheels – Keeping em stock. They look great and are special for the 4xe.
Lift – The 4xe Rubicon sits about 1″ higher than a regular Rubicon so we added 2 1/2″ Teraflex spacers at each wheel to give us 1″. Teraflex 1″ Spacer Lift Install
