This Jeep isn’t particularly strange but it belongs to a guy named Strange. It’s a work of art and it’s the kind of Jeep you could just sit and stare at. On occasion we come across a Jeep that’s just worth doing a little feature about.
This restored 1963 CJ-5 has had the same owner for some time and its rebirth is super detailed. It’s not likely you will see this Jeep on the trail but who cares.

A pre-restore pic, the Jeep was still cool but definitely needed some work.
A Chevy was swapped in with a Muncie 4 speed. The detail in the engine compartment shows how much this project meant to him. This is one of the cleanest Chevy V8 swaps in a short nose CJ I think I’ve ever seen.
Power brakes, Optima Battery, In frame headers with dual exhaust, Edelbrock carburetor, MSD ignition and a while slew of more performance parts.
The 33″ BFG All Terrains on aluminum slots is a super iconic look for classic CJs.




This restored 1963 CJ-5 Jeep has got to be a terror to drive.
