President Bill CB with Firestik Antenna Installation

We needed a new CB for the jeepfan.com 2018 Wrangler Unlimited JL and due to such limited space we were looking for a compact CB that has the essential features. In addition to the CB we chose a Firestik 4′ Antenna and Firering cable.

CB Radio

After checking out some CB options from Right Channel Radios we discovered a CB that we haven’t seen before. President is a brand of CB that has been around since 1978 and they have a model called the “Bill” that is very small but has many essential features.

Key Features

– 40 channels AM / FM
– 12 V
– USB 5V / 2.1A
– Up/down channel selector
– Volume adjustment and ON/OFF
– Manual squelch and ASC
– Multi-functions LCD display
– S-meter
– ANL filter, NB, HI-CUT
– F function key
– Beep Function
– Roger Beep
– Mode switch AM / FM
– Preset channel programmable
– TOT (Time out timer)
– Front microphone plug
– Microphone Electret or Dynamic
– External loudspeaker jack

Antenna

We have used Firestik antennas on many of the past jeepfan.com Jeeps, it make sense to continue using these great products. The 4′ antenna is a good size for a Wrangler along with an added spring to allow movement through the trees. In addition to the antenna we are using a Firestik Firering cable with an FME connector. The FME connector allows the cable to be fed through small spaces.
