We all call the chargers a charger but it not. It’s more of a smart extension cord that supplies power to the Jeep. The actual charger is built into the Jeep and all of the charging is controlled from there. The Juice Box merely turns on the high voltage to the Jeep and cuts it off when the Jeep indicates it’s finished. So…call it a charger but just know it’s not.
Most chargers will use the J1772 plug and getting the flow started is a simple as plugging it into the charge port on the Jeep. The indicator light near the port will cycle through some colors and when it’s flashing green electrons are moving.
