In 2008 a small meetup on a local farm developed into a world wide event known as Go Topless Day where Jeep owners celebrate the spring time removal of the Jeep’s top. Usually held in the middle of May this event is in support of good causes. From beach clean-ups and trail runs to picnics, rallys, parades, and charity fundraisers, these events aren’t just about having fun — they’re about making a meaningful difference.

This year’s event was held on 2025 and with Barricade’s involvement since 2017 it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. According to Extreme Terrain last years event was in all 50 states and 6 countries amounting to 499 total events.
We’ve attended this day for the past several years and this year the weather was very agreeable in eastern PA and the Jeep Enthusiasts of Eastern PA club hosted a perfect event. We took the jeepfan.com 2004 Wrangler TJ Unlimited and met up with the group at the Schnecksville Fire Company.

The J.E.E.P. club mapped out a route from Schnecksville to the end point, Mountain View Winery in Stroudsburg, PA. The approximately 2 hour long ride was on some beautiful back roads that provided some great scenery and even some off road portions.

I was only about the 10th Jeep from the rear of the convoy and we rolled into Mountain View Vineyard around 1pm. We found a place to park among the 200+ Jeeps and enjoyed the rest of the day with some awesome food and drink.

Offroading is fun but an event like this allows you to just relax and spend some time with our other friends in the Jeep community. Thanks Barricade, Mountain View Vineyard and Jeep Enthusiasts of Eastern PA for putting together a great day.
See you in May 2026.
