The East Coast Four Wheel Drive Association (EC4WDA) has been around since the early days of organized off-roading, promoting responsible four-wheeling and land use across the eastern U.S. Founded in 1965, this volunteer-driven organization connects clubs and individual members from Maine to Virginia, with a focus on education, conservation, and community.
EC4WDA works closely with land managers to help keep trails open while advocating for sustainable off-road practices. The group also hosts trail rides, competitive events, and safety clinics, making it a great resource for both seasoned wheelers and newcomers. If you’re looking to get involved, joining an EC4WDA-affiliated club is an excellent way to meet fellow enthusiasts and gain access to organized rides on private and public lands.
