OK Auto’s 4X4 2006 was held at Rausch Creek Off-Road Park in Joliette, PA on April 29th and 30th. It was a perfect weekend of trail riding. Clear skies, warm weather, and good company made a weekend one could possibly dream for. Page 7.

I got what I expected… After a good dinner and some fun we all turned in for the night. I don’t usually like to camp but I figured it was only one night. I went into it expecting to not have a good nights sleep and I was right. The time line of the night is almost comical. 11pm – go to bed. It’s already 30 degrees out and we are sleeping in a “summertime” tent that has only screens on two sides. Luckily I had a good sleeping bag, my pillow was like a block of ice so I didn’t move much. 11:30 – 2 am – The feeling of “getting back to nature” is cloaked by the heavy metal music blasting from a neighboring campsite. Our neighbors were quite a distance away but it was dead quiet except for them. If you were the people playing the music you owe me 2.5 hours of sleep and turn it down! 3 am – Someone was SCREAMING at their dog for 30 minutes. I don’t know why? 4 am – 5 am – Something, a bird perhaps, was making a strange squawking/chirping noise that sounded like a car alarm. This didn’t overly bother me – it is nature ya know. After an hour or so of this it did become annoying. 6 am – I had enough, get up and eat! Sunday Morning Raffle and Trail Ride |
