Anyone
who has a JK Wrangler should be familiar with the
streaks that come after washing or a good rain.
The water seems to collect behind the mirrors and
slowly drain out down the door leaving behind an
unsightly streak.
We have worked out a
little fix for this annoyance that requires a small
drill and some steady hands.
The fix
A simple fix to this
problem is drilling a small drain hole that allows
the water to freely flow out of the bottom of the
mirror instead of seeping.
What to do
Using a 5/32 drill
bit, drill a small hole in the bottom of the plastic
mirror mount. Get as close as you can to the
door surface. Be careful not to drill into the
door.

The
result
After
drilling both mirrors you will notice the water
drains from the mirror quickly and will not leave
behind those nasty streaks.
